Easy access to the water is a plus for boaters who want to enjoy this region’s many lakes
61 Laconia Road Tilton, NH 03276 603-286-8008 With Lake Winnipesaukee as its centerpiece, and other lakes scattered throughout the area, including Squam, Winnisquam, Newfound and Ossipee, the Lakes Region offers plenty of places to launch your boat, kayak or canoe. Many resorts, hotels and inns have private docks, ramps or beach access, and some have full-service marinas. Several boat companies also have public launches. You can book everything from efficiency suites right on the lake to a vacation home with a boat slip. If you don’t have your own boat, it’s not a problem: Dozens of places on the water rent everything from sailboats and fishing boats to pontoons and kayaks. Many have convenience stores attached to provide everything you need for your perfect day on the lake.
