The four-season mountain resorts of New Hampshire are truly legendary, not only in the East, but across the U.S. and the world. To begin with, two resorts, the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, NH and the Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa in Whitefield, NH are among the remaining Grand Hotels of the Gilded Age of the 1880s and ’90s, and they continue to offer comfort and service every bit as lavish as in those times.
All NH mountain resorts are near major ski areas and snow sports and regional attractions for families, but they also pamper indoor-loving guests with spas, fireplaces, and shopping. In summer and fall, the range of outdoor play -- from swimming to rock climbing -- is vast.
